Volunteer: Christmas @ CantignyHo! Ho! Ho! The Christmas at Cantigny calendar has been decided! Please see the available dates listed below this blurb. We will have lots of evenings where we could really use your help from November 19th through January 4th (mainly Wednesdays through Sundays, with a few Mondays and Tuesdays sprinkled in). Our visitors will be attending the Light Show, and we are being asked to provide volunteers to greet guests with a smile and assist them with wayfinding through the lighted areas. You’ll be stationed outdoors (so please dress for the weather extra layers are always a good idea) along the route. The shift will run approximately 4:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. In years past, we’ve tried offering shorter shifts, but unfortunately, that often led to higher no-show rates. That said, we absolutely understand that the weather can be unpredictable and that standing for long periods isn’t feasible for everyone. We want to emphasize that volunteering for Christmas at Cantigny is completely optional no one is required or penalized for not participating. To help make things more comfortable for those who do volunteer, we’ll be incorporating scheduled breaks within shifts this year. Additionally, chairs will be provided at the stations, so there is no need to stand for long periods of time. And don’t forget you can always bring a buddy to make your volunteer shift even more enjoyable! Department: Guest Services Ho! Ho! Ho! The Christmas at Cantigny calendar has been decided!
